when life gives you bananas

i think the direct quote is “heely to me, baby.”

for ann’s 22nd birthday, we searched far and wide for adult-size heelys. yes, that’s shoes with wheels. for adults. we found them, and ann wore them with her halloween costume (no, that’s not a normal outfit, although she often wears lundies and capes…and headbands).

for ann’s birthday three years later (which we celebrated last weekend), we bought her a more age appropriate gift, although still shoes that help you move faster by attaching to a bike with wheels. there seems to be a trend, and i’m guessing that for her 70th birthday we will continue to figure out how to attach wheels to her body to make sure she is still as active and mobile as in the BDH days.
