let’s start over
i originally envisioned myself posting witty and thoughtful stories on a regular basis to keep you all afloat as to what is going on in my generally calm, occationally erratic life. that, as you may notice by the date of my last post, has not been the case. i’ll blame the go lives, the snow storms, and the fact that i re-watched season one through five of LOST with jason.
so let’s start over. let me catch you up on what’s been happening since last time you heard from me (via blog, not in real life).
i spent the majority of november 2010 in youngstown, ohio always making sure to look in every closet before shutting the door to my hotel room at the residence inn, just in case someone from the mafia was messing with me. despite the sometimes scary surroundings of abandoned buildings, youngstown did have one good thing to offer - springfield grill. my guess (and i’m no scientist) is that i averaged at least one out of every three meals at the restaurant in november. although i’m sure liz has me beat, i believe there were left overs eaten for breakfast.

the annual bdh thanksgiving dinner trended in the right direction again - with the quality of food and quantity of people increasing at a steady rate. and real thanksgiving with the family was a success as well - the menu was planned during an ad-hoc video ichat get together of important parties.

december 2010 was highlighted with the usual birthday celebrations, this time hosted by the blue velvet (which, by the way, you can rent out for $50 on a saturday night. seriously). instead of the usual two (dre and me), or even the ever so recently usual three (dre, ang, and me), we got to have a quadruple celebration, adding liz to the mix.
finishing out december, i spent 4 lovely days skiing in vail with some CHP friends, learning that people’s top 25 song playlist on their ipods sure do elicit long explanations.

after celebrating new years with a punch bowl of a pretentious adult version of WOP (click here for reference. i highly recommend), january 2011 was mostly spent shamefully wearing uggs to avoid getting salt stains on the bottom of my jeans.
february and march 2011 were cold. just real cold. yes, that’s -16 on my car thermometer. it took 5 minutes to get the doors open.
the highlight of april 2011 was a long weekend in san francisco with jason. to sum it up: good wine, good food, good weather, good company. oh, and lots of hipster photos.

in may 2011, the tulips came out, which indicates three things: farmer’s market, open toed shoes, and outdoor seating. i spent last weekend in colorado, hanging out with my family and meeting new family members (husbands and babies). this one below was the most photogenic, so i’ll feature him.

so that’s basically it. now i’ll try to stay a little more current. keep me honest.

You left out missing me and keeping Erik from being a threat to himself, the system, or others.
